Stephane decided to treat me to something special, so we went to Flea Street Cafe in Palo Alto. This place is great because the menu is seasonal (and usually based on what's growing in the owner's own garden!), they have fantastic mixed drinks (lavender lemon drop? yes please!), and their bread is to-die-for. I judge my favorite restaurants by the quality of the simplest things on their menu. It doesn't hurt that everything else is delicious, as well. Miam miam :-D
